You shouldn't do this walk just for the beautiful heart-shaped trail. Separately, the walk is a walk that shows Antwerp from its historical side as well as its diversity. You will get a view on Antwerp as it is.
From Oud-Berchem you walk to Antwerpen-Zuid past the Albert Park and the architecturally striking Provinciehuis. Past the KMSKA museum, it then goes via the Kloosterstraat and the Scheldt quays to the historic center, the Grote Markt and the Vleeeshuis. Through the Klapdorp and the Paardenmarkt it goes to Sint-Jansplein, where the language of communication is Portuguese. Spot Panamarenko's beautiful statue 'De Vliegenier'.
Through the Chinese street you then walk to the Central Station aka the railroad cathedral. Then it goes via the Seefhoek to Borgerhout, where the Moroccan community, but also over 100 other nationalities have settled. Antwerp from its most multicultural side.
In the last part of the walk we do the Berchem Street-Art street and Zurenborg with its beautiful Art-Nouveau houses from around the penultimate turn of the century. A well-deserved drink or snack awaits you at the end at Café Rood-Wit.
