After-ride event with food & drinks at the finissage of the exhibition If I Must Die, You Must Live.

This special event has two main goals: the official launch of Hearts for Gaza and the collection of the first funds. Additionally, we aim to highlight the Palestinian values of hospitality and solidarity and demonstrate how sport, words, and art can convey a message of hope and resilience.

Hospitality as a theme and guiding principle

Palestinians are renowned worldwide for their deep-rooted hospitality and strong sense of community. These values form the common thread in our launch and press event. Thanks to the generosity of visual artist Henk Visch and his wife Irene Veenstra, we are warmly welcomed at their art centre, AUTO VITESSE. Their hospitality symbolises Palestinian values of warmth and connection, reinforcing the importance of solidarity and collective unity.

Here, the finissage of the exhibition If I Must Die, You Must Live will take place—a powerful tribute to Palestinian poets and writers who, despite oppression and violence, keep the culture and dignity of their people alive through their words.

Together, we will make this afternoon a moment of connection, inspiration, and solidarity.

Café ROOD-WIT in Oud-Berchem, once known for its billiard history, no longer features the game. Today, it’s a cozy gathering spot where the café cycling team “ROOD-WIT” and locals enjoy drinks and community, while its nostalgic charm endures.
