This cycling route of over 2,750 kilometers forms a heart across Europe and stands as a symbol of solidarity with the paracyclists of the Gaza Sunbirds. The journey begins in Antwerp and runs through the Netherlands to eastern Germany, passing cities such as Berlin and Dresden. From the Czech Republic, the route leads south via Pilsen and Munich toward Lake Constance. It then turns westward, through Strasbourg and Luxembourg, finishing back in Antwerp. Over ten days, the route crosses eight countries and unites sport with compassion, resilience, and humanity — a heartbeat on wheels for those who keep riding, no matter what.

Op zondag 24 augustus vieren we (hopelijk! en onder voorbehoud) de thuiskomst van Anton na zijn uitdaging de Long Ride for Gaza.
In het laatste traject krijgt hij gezelschap van Alaa, Mohamed en enkele ondersteunende fietsvrienden en samen fietsen ze het slotstuk naar het event. Vanaf 17:00 uur ben je welkom in de Vredestraat 114 om hen te ontvangen voor een warme, solidaire avond met hapjes en drankjes. We blikken terug op de tocht, het opgehaalde bedrag en de steun voor de Gaza Sunbirds. Een moment om solidariteit te vieren en samen letterlijk en figuurlijk in beweging te komen voor vrede.
