The Long Ride for Gaza

With this journey, I want to show my solidarity with the people of Gaza – who endure unimaginable suffering every single day, yet continue to display incredible resilience.

I’m cycling 2,700 kilometres in 10 days – that’s 270 kilometres a day. It’s going to be tough, and I will be pushed to my physical and mental limits. But no matter how hard it gets, it’s nothing compared to the suffering the people of Gaza face on a daily basis.

That’s exactly why I want every kilometre to speak for them – to raise awareness, and to call for support.

Met deze tocht wil ik mijn solidariteit tonen met de mensen in Gaza – die dag in, dag uit een onvoorstelbaar lijden doorstaan, en toch telkens weer een ongelooflijke veerkracht laten zien.

Ik fiets 2.700 kilometer in 10 dagen – dat is 270 kilometer per dag. Het wordt zwaar, en ik zal fysiek en mentaal afzien. Maar hoe pittig deze uitdaging ook is, het valt in het niet bij het lijden dat de mensen in Gaza dagelijks moeten doorstaan.

Juist daarom wil ik dat elke kilometer een stem voor hen is – om bewustwording te creëren, en om steun te vragen.
